Well a stereoype is defined as a misregarded beleif that holds bias against people that are usually true, and because of this are considered to describe the majority of the crowd that describes them-i.e. black ppl like chicken or goths and emos all dress in black. The issue with these of course is that once you get to understand people of this and other backgrounds you begin to understand how diverse they are. A gneralization is a unpresedented biased belief wthout any source of recemendation or understanding whatsoever. E.g. that guy looks weird and I therefore should avoid him

Stereotypes are oversimplified beliefs or assumptions about a group of people that may not be accurate. Generalizations, on the other hand, are broader statements based on patterns or trends observed within a group but do not apply to every individual within that group. Generalizations can be useful when based on accurate and representative data, while stereotypes often involve biases or prejudices.

What is the difference between implicit stereotypes and explicit?

Implicit stereotypes are unconscious beliefs or biases that influence our attitudes and behaviors without our awareness. Explicit stereotypes, on the other hand, are conscious beliefs or biases that are intentionally held and expressed. Implicit stereotypes are often rooted in societal norms and can be more difficult to recognize and change compared to explicit stereotypes.

What is the difference between the stereotype and rumours?

How may stereotypes lead to conflicts between two gangs?

Stereotypes can fuel misunderstandings and mistrust between gangs, as they perpetuate negative assumptions and perceptions about each other. These stereotypes can result in a lack of communication, a sense of threat or fear, and an escalation of violence as each gang may feel the need to defend or assert their reputation based on these misconceptions. Ultimately, stereotypes can deepen existing conflicts and perpetuate cycles of violence and retaliation between the gangs.

Is a hasty generalization similar to a stereotype?

Yes, a hasty generalization and a stereotype are similar in that they both involve making assumptions or judgments about a group of people based on limited or insufficient evidence. However, stereotypes are typically more ingrained and pervasive in society than hasty generalizations, which can be more individual instances of faulty reasoning.

Do you have stereotypes about stereotypes?

Yes, there are different stereotypes (as in more than one) between one group of people, and different stereotypes (as in not the same as other groups) for all groups of people. There are also differences in stereotypes on the level of negativity. Some are considered positive while others only negative.

What is the difference between anthropometric data and BMI?

Anthropometric data refers to measurements and proportions of the human body, such as height, weight, body circumference, and skinfold thickness. Body Mass Index (BMI), on the other hand, is a specific calculation using a person's height and weight to categorize individuals into different weight categories (underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese). Anthropometric data provides more detailed information about body composition, while BMI is a simplified measure used to assess weight status.
