I guess the feeling of addiction would vary depending on the person. You could feel like you're not addicted and you can stop whenever you want, but you can't. A lot of people that are addicted are oblivious to the fact that they're addicted. Being addicted to a substance can also have negative physical effects on the body, even including death. The brain gets used to the substance and cannot function properly without it, that's why you see so many people addicted to pain killers. Addiction is never a good thing but it can usually be treated with a fixer of some sort or going to a rehabilitation center.
