How do you not have emotions?

some ppl. are thought to supressed their emotions..you see this mostly in newly recruite in the army or navy. Children who do not seem to have emotions may have a parent who was in the army and the cycle of keeping your emotions to yourself continues. but when u are an adult and show no emotions there is a psychological factor that must be discovered. we are all born with emotions we showed it the first year of our existence. but during our childhood or teenage-hood something must have happen...someone must had thought u that u should not show emotions, as in a way to not show fear. The worse possible case for an adult to not have emotions....must had just left a cult of sorts. where people. are brain washed into thinking that showing or having emotions is a sign of weakness. the army teaches that but to a lesser and less dangerous levels. I am not bad mouthing the army, because there are soldiers who do have emotions and showed it. but when someone joins the army it is the armies job to break down the person and rebuild it as new strong soldier who will protect the country. (disclaimer: do not take anything I say as an insult or a shot at the army. my point of view is my own and if that offends someone please forgive me.)
