That is particularly true for men, who are attracted to other women and eager and willing to have sex with them for no other reason than physical appearance and attractiveness. For reasons that are primordial, men must fight the urge to copulate with as many women as possible, which was once necessary to propagate his gene pool. Women, on the other hand, for reasons equally primordial, are usually more inclined and eager to settle down with one secure mate. I was going to write settle down with one secure mate who will provide for her and her children, but I opted not to because needing a good provider is much less a concern to modern women in Western cultures. (That doesn't mean it's not primordial.) So, the psychological disorder you speak of is technically called being a man. It's up to women to cure them.

Works Both ways As much as men are attracted to and eager to have sex with different women, and its in their nature as men I think the rule variety is the spice of life applys to both sexes. There are no double standards here.

So say you meet a guy and he's sweet, calm and loving, you'll like him. But then you'll meet another guy who's adventurous, strong and protective, you'll like him too. Then you meet another guy who's rich, generous and wonderful. You'll like that guy too. So all the guys are great, but the first one is not the second and the second is not the third. Do you see where I'm getting here? Women too have to fight the urge to have sex with different men, because just like the men, they have hormones too. And nobody is perfect at finding the right person, falling in love with them and instantly wanting to settle down with them. Not even women. I think the only difference is women do a far better job at fighting off these urges than men, because for men its mostly just physical. And if a guy cheats on you with other women or vice-versa, it doesn't necessarily mean they don't love you. It could be just physical, if they're still in love wilth you. Not True for all Whereas the many males seek to copulate with as many women as possible, I don't think this is true for all men. Perhaps so for the males in the jungle where survival and continual of the species is of atmost importance. Its extreme sexist stereotyping for women to generalise and assume that all men, just want to get into bed with as many women as possible. The reason this appears to be so, is because the women are attracted to such men, and so those are the very men they have experiences of.

However there are a sygnificant amount of men who are perfectly satisfied with the one woman they have and do not feel the desire to persue further relationships. I know its true, because I'm one of them.

Men may be more attracted to women they can't have due to the thrill of the chase and desire for the forbidden. This can stem from a desire for novelty or an ego boost. While it is not a psychological disorder, engaging in this behavior could be a sign of underlying issues such as commitment fear or low self-esteem.
