When people are mean to you it could be mean they are jealous or want to feel better about themselves. If your wondering why making people feel bad would help themselves its because when they do that they feel in control knowing most kids will listen to them by being afraid and not giving it back to them. Your probably just as strong as them or even more stronger but you are never less then them even if they say so. So just be strong and tell them to cut it out. -hang in there it happens to most of us at least once.
