Ignorance, religion and fear seem to be the most common motivating factors for unfair or different treatment of transgender people. People fear what the they don't understand. People hate what they fear. People follow religious teachings of others who hate and fear what they don't understand. The human race is messed up that way.

What is a virtue of psychosocialism?

PsychoSocialism refers to the psychoanalytic theories pertaining to transgender identification. The idea is basically that a child's environment, relationships with parents etc. affects his/her perception of self in such a way as to impact his or her gender identification. IF there is a virtue in this theory, it may perhaps from some persons' viewpoint be that the theory implies a cause effect relationship that might suggest the possibility of a "cure" for transgender identification or a way to prevent it. Of couse, this would not necessarily be considered a virtue if one holds a view of transgender theory that does not view transgender identification as a "problem' in the first place.
