I wasn't even married to mine~ he would tell me I wasn't good enough to marry but when we were in public at an important social gathering, he would introduce me as his wife...twisted! The narcissist does not view marriage as a bond among equals - but as an arrangement of convenience. By getting married, the narcissist merely secures a good source of narcissistic supply for the long-term. They marry for permanent narcissistic supply . It inflates their ego to have a wife ( or husband ) to brag about , and at the same time, humiliate , in order to keep reinforcing how superior they are. Narcissists are alway concerened about their image. Being "married" looks alot better to the public (in his opinion) than "not being married." He also NEEDS a spouse to "take care" of him since he is pathologically immature and unable to care for himself. He USES his spouse but never truly LOVES her.
Some narcissists may personify their pets as an extension of themselves or to receive admiration and attention from others. They may also view their pets as objects that reflect their own status or image.
Well, narcissists love themselves, so it is hard to recognize anyone else's authority over them. They might have a problem (as most people do, actually) with anyone who uses their authority to make rules or decisions that they disagree with.
Psychologists who view development as distinct stages typically believe that the sequence of stages is the same for everyone, though individuals may progress through them at different rates. This perspective, popularized by theorists like Erik Erikson, suggests that each stage represents a universal psychological challenge that individuals must navigate in a predictable order.
Exotification reinforces stereotypes by reducing individuals or cultures to superficial, exotic qualities that are often exaggerated or distorted. This perpetuates a one-dimensional view of the group being exoticized, ignoring their diversity and complexity. It can lead to harmful generalizations and reinforces power dynamics where one group is seen as "other" or inferior.
Freud believed that women were morally deficient due to his theory of penis envy, which suggested that women develop a sense of inferiority and resentment towards men due to their lack of a penis. This led him to view women as inherently envious, manipulative, and morally inferior to men. However, this viewpoint has been widely criticized and refuted by modern psychologists and scholars.
Anyone could do either - in the view of many narcissists everyone else is there to flatter and supply them with what they need emotionally. You can go from being overvalued if you are doing this 'pumping up' to being apparently hated and put down viciously (often behind your back too) as soon as you don't do what they feel you should be doing.
The inferior view is a term that refers to a perspective looking from above an object or structure, typically from a lower angle or position. It provides a view of the lower surface or side of an object. In anatomy, an inferior view shows a structure as it would be seen from below.

Yes. It is also possible that only you exist and everyone and everything else is just a figment of your imagination. But, in my view, neither is anywhere near likely.
