i think it's because they steriotypically assume they are hippies and are crazy about saving animals when not all of them are.
its really healthy to have meat in ur diet but people can get annoyed when u ask about specific food at a restraunt or some assume they all say animals should be treated like humans which i don't agree with
i actually have a big opinion on that
anyways nothing wrong with it, you can also loose alot of weight without all that greacy fat, lolz
