1 : an obscure speech or writing 2 : something hard to understand or explain 3 : an inscrutable or mysterious person With that in thought, especially musicians usually consider themslef to be something unlike others, unique, expressing themself through word or song. I think it also has a lot to do with ego and how you look at yourself. == == They try to make themselves out to be mysteries that have to be studied.

ANSWER: That is so weird you ask that question because I was wondering about what to write about myself in my wiki bio and was toying with the idea of claiming to be an enigma. I'm not really sure what enigma means. It's a mystery to me, so maybe I'm not so much the enigma as the word enigma is an enigma. I was thinking of calling myself Fabian but to be honest I don't really like the name. So, now that I've read your question and the answer above, I'm wondering...do you think I shouldn't use the word enigma to describe myself? This is quite puzzling for me. What should I write? I know, what about this: I'm a paradox, wrapped inside and enigma, wrapped inside a puzzle, that is a mystery. The paradox thing was my idea. What do you think? O.k. fine, I'll wait a while longer to write my bio since you guys have so effectively shamed me out of using enigma as a description. Hope your happy. They mean that they are different and mysterious, though that is not the most accurate word to use.
