It's very easy for people to become overconfident. Only in the event of an actual fight will either they or you discover who is the better fighter. And that discovery may come at a high cost. It is good to be prepared for violence, and it is also good to avoid violence if possible.
In the words of the late Rodney King, why can't we all just get along?
I personally think violence is never the answer, but some people are ghetto so they start to beat up people. Human behavior has always included violence. Generally, the violence is triggered by fear, anger, frustration, ignorance, or occasionally some form of mental disease or condition. Humans are prone to violence as a form of our innate trait to defend our lives. When a group of people gang up on a person to beat them up, it's a form of group empowerment, usually fired by adrenalin. But it still based on the triggers mentioned above. I have always hated violence. Brings up nothing. Makes everything worse. I think those people who fight have problems that's all.
I think you are actually thinking of "beat your brains out" which is a threat to beat someone's head until their brains fall out. This can be sarcastic or jokingly said, however.
People who deviate from normal behavior are not necessarily psychologically disturbed or mentally ill. Rather, some people are just quirky and like to march to the beat of their own drum.
Hey, don't worry about it. Being a failure isn't based upon what others think of you, it is what you think of yourself. Don't beat yourself up for things because you can't go back in time! Instead, focus on the future and keep your head up. You can turn yourself around, and there is no time like the present to get started!
There are many reason. It could be because they think it is cool. They think, "Oh cool, everybody else is doing it maybe I should try." Perhaps they are stuck in a situation where it is either do the drug or whatever or get beat up. Some of it goes back to their upbringing. If they have strict discipline and are taught not to give in nor care what others think, they tend to be more able to resist. But even then, it is still possible to fall. You cannot develop inner strength just from lectures. Personal experience and mistakes are often required.
Block two consecutive punches or kicks and donkey kong will start to beat up on karate kong.
I know many that could beat me. Depends on the woman.
Selena never beat Taylor at singing. Though, some people think Selena is better at singing than Taylor. Some think Taylor is better than Selena.

It depends upon the abilities and strength of fighters
There is a gym in San Fierro that is South of the garage you own when you get there. Inside, an old man will be standing there with a red marker, and if you beat him, you will learn the karate moves.

You can learn karate, and beat the guy up when you see him again.
