Believing in one's self is healthy, but our belief must be based on something solid. Every house must have a solid foundation, and our life is more important than a house.

1 Corinthians 3: 10-14 encourages us to build our life with quality material, such as gold, silver, precious stones, But if we build it with wood, hay, or straw.,the outcome will not be the same when difficulties strike.

We have all learned the story about the "three little pigs at school or as a bed time story.

". One built his house with straw, the other with wood, and the other with bricks, but the outcome was not the same when trouble stroke.

So to answer your question, which is " Why is self belief important?

The answer is: According to God, it is knowledge in Him that is important, if we want to build our life on a solid foundation, that is important. Read Isaiah 48: 17,18; John 17: 3
