In my own personal opinion, emotional maturity in our school plays a role in the ability to connect with one another, especially the teachers / professors. Most of the time, students of a young age are emotionally immature, and so emotional maturity dose not matter to them, but this usually is only true with students 18 and under. I myself am 16, yet I possess the ability to think maturely and adapt to the right situation, placing others before myself. In a high school environment, emotional maturity can get you a good reputation with the teachers, and that will make them more willing to help you out when you need it, and a few students possibly. In a college environment, that all changes, it connects with many, many more individuals and can get you the girl / guy of your dreams if you play your cards right. This will gain you much respect on all fields, not to mention inside the job environment
