Logic and emotion are just about evenly opposite. Emotions are not logical. They keep us from doing things that we probably shouldn't or make things easier to deal with possibly, but being completely logical is also impossible because a persons logic is subjective and may not fit with societies. In his mind, it was perfectly logical for Hitler to kill all the people he did.

You may be in love with someone who is bad for you. Love and being in love, two different things, lets you overlook things that logic tells you are wrong. Why this is so is an impossible question to answer.
