First hold the part of the applicator that has the lines on it and is thin with your middle finger and thumb, then push it in to your vagina a little pit slanted towards your back. Then when your fingers that are holding the applicator touch your body use your pointer finger to puch in the actual tampon, push it until you cant push it until it clicks(if you hav a click one) and then pull the applicator out and your done!!! :)

This should never hurt and if it does then that means you didn't push it in far enough so just pull it out and start with another one (on askkids.com you can type in how to put on a tampon and find some sites with great videos as well!)

How do you put on and remove a tampon if you never got your period?

I hope you are not wearing a tampon when not on a period. This is unhealthy and if you are just starting your period you should not be using a tampon until you are older. The tampon box gives written as well as a diagram of how to put in a tampon. Follow the directions and read the warnings. This is very important.

What happens to a first time tampon user?

Nothing happens to a first-time tampon user.A person uses tampons for the first time and that's it - using a tampon doesn't change a person in any way. As long as the user is relaxed and using tampons correctly they will simply insert the tampon and it will absorb flow just like it's supposed to. It's no different to any other time they use tampons.

How do you put a tampon in if you are a boy?

You can only use a tampon if you're menstruating - if you're a boy you may menstruate, but only if you have a uterus and vagina (e.g. if you're a trans boy). If you're a cis boy then there's absolutely no reason for you to be using tampons and nowhere for you to put a tampon as you don't have a vagina. So in short, if you are a boy you do not put a tampon in at all.

Is it possible to put a tampon too far in?

No, it's not possible to push a tampon in too far.The vagina is only a few inches in length and at the top of the vaginal canal is the cervix which will prevent the tampon from going any further. A tampon thus can go no further than your vaginal canal as there's nowhere else for it to go, the vaginal canal is essentially a dead end. You can only push the tampon in so far with your finger or an applicator too as it won't reach any further.

What is ob tampon and how does it work?

OB is simply a brand of non-applicator tampon. You would use them the same way as you would any other conventional tampon.

Can a tampon get stuck on its own accord or does it have to be pushed somehow?

A tampon cannot really get stuck at all. A tampon can go no further than your vaginal canal, it can't be pushed any higher than that. As long as you are using a tampon and relaxed upon removal the tampon will come out.
