To change the spacing before or after a paragraph using spin boxes, first select the paragraph you want to modify. Then, locate the spin boxes for "Before" and "After" spacing in the paragraph formatting section of your word processor. Adjust the values by clicking the up or down arrows in the spin boxes to increase or decrease the spacing as desired. Finally, apply the changes to see the updated paragraph spacing.
Right click on the page and then click 'Paragraph.' Then, in 'Spacing,' click on the 'Before' or 'After' arrows to change the amount of space between paragraphs.
On Home tab in Paragraph section, look for two arrows symbol (next to alignment options).

I just happened to find this little workaround half an hour ago! Select both paragraphs on either side of the space you want to remove. In Word 2010, go to the Home tab. In the Paragraph box, click on the little box with the arrow in the right-hand bottom corner. In the tab "Indents and Spacing" go down to Spacing. Click the Up & Down arrows till the word Auto appears. I chose "Double spacing" at "2"; not sure what you need. Then click OK and the space goes away! I did it on the whole doc and it was flawless.
In a Microsoft Word document, at the top is a section of tools called the Ribbon. From there, there are sections: Clipboard, font, paragraph, and Styles. Within the paragraph section there should be an icon. The icon has two blue arrows, one pointing upwards, the second pointing downwards. To the right are horizontal lines. By clicking on that icon, you should have line spacing. Also, if you hover over icons, they explain what they do.
WikiAnswers does not use arrows. Other sites use that and it can be annoying.
