Junkie jitters refers to any action by someone who is addicted to a mind-altering substance that causes repetitive motion during the withdrawal period. Includes sweating, shaking, rocking back-and-forth, itching, mumbling or other anxious movement related to withdrawal. Most frequent in opiate withdrawal. "Junkie" usually refers to heroin as opposed to cocaine or methamphetamine but is slang for any addict.
