Well, the naturopath is not a real medical doctor. It likes to prescribe herbal medications. The U.S. trained osteopathic physician, rather, is a real medical doctor. The DO would do better for itself if it were to change its name from DO to MD or MD,DO. The dumb dogmatic DOs in the AOA don't want this change from DO to MD,DO.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An example of how dumb and banal the public is about DOs: former Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, wanted to merge the ND (naturopathic doctor) and DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) together. I used to like the Terminator (Schwarzenegger), but not anymore. What a dumb thing this old governor did? Schwarzenegger is so naive and stupid that he did this. Combing an ND to a DO is just like combining an ND to an MD. Clearly, NDs did not go to Medical School. Time for the lame dumb AOA old dumb cracked wrinkled doctor board members to change the DO degree to MD,DO.
Buddhism is an ancient religion that touts the benefits of meditation and clean living. Western medicine often seeks to repair the body with drugs and surgeries.
The major difference between Eastern and Western medicine is that in Eastern medicine the focus is on balance. The body and mind should be in balance with the environment surrounding it. Eastern physicians strive to cultivate this balance, thereby eliminating illness and disease. In Western medicine, the balance of body and mind is not considered, so illness and disease are approached as needing to be "fixed" when broken. Bio-energy is not recognized as an important factor in Western medicine either. Eastern medicine strives for prevention and Western medicine does not.
Western scientific medicine uses pills and technological advances to treat the physical disruptions to the body. Holistic medicine treats the mind, spirit, and the body. Alternative medicine uses herbs, or small doses of medicine at a time.?æ

the basic difference between eastern and western institutions , is that eastern institutions worship the group while western institutions worship the individual
Wikipedia has a very good article on this. Additionally, I personally know that in Japan, very little "western" medicine is used. Instead, they rely heavily on herbs and osteopathic techniques.
Theres a small difference only.
You don't tell us which country the mountains are in so we can not answer you.
My child's pediatric cardiologist has a D.O. instead of an M.D. at the end of her name. What does D.O. stand for? The D.O. after the pediatric cardiologist's name stands for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. This is another type of medical physician just like a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) that has completed four years of medical school and residency/fellowship to become a board certified pediatric cardiologist.
