The longest hangover was recorded in New York, USA in May 2010 and was experienced by a Mr. Thomas from Surrey in England.

Mr Thomas was found in the foyer of his hotel room at 4am on Sunday morning without two sets of glasses, his Christian Dior jacket, several hundred us dollars and with no idea where or who he was.

He proceeded to spend the next 24 hours comatose in his hotel room despite the attempts from his work colleagues to rouse him.

The hangover continued during the next week where he experienced a number of symptoms including vomiting, palpitations, looking a bit pale plus numerous visits to the lavatory. This culminated with a trip to casualty on the Thursday.

He finally reappeared in his office a full 9 days after the ill fated night claiming that none of the symptoms were drink related.
