Not as suicide. Sacrifices, certainly- the Supreme Sacrifice of Christ for example. Theology distinguishes between suicide and intentional Sacrifice of human life- or Martyrdom- dying for a cause. Straight-out suicide is never given a green light. There were a number of Biblical characters, mainly in the Old Testament-Saul ( King of the Israelites) , Samson ( arguably a suicidal war-act), and some others- only Judas in the New ( He hung himself) personally-destructive acts in The Bible. Saul allegedly fell on his own sword- which could have been an accident.
