Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) can wear whatever they want. However, they are encouraged to dress modestly, and most faithful church members do. The church's standards of dress require the shoulders to be covered, which typically does not allow for tank tops or sleeveless shirts of any kind. One church-published pamphlet says, "wear clothing that covers the shoulder and avoid clothing that is low-cut in the front or the back or revealing in any other manner". Most church sponsored youth activities and dances enforce a dress code which requires clothing to have sleeves.
A typical Mormon would not wear tank tops on a regular basis, but might for certain activities, such as a trip to a water park or beach.
