Can Christianity be boiled down to a single essence?

In essence, to become a Christian all you have to do is:

repent of your sins, believe the Gospel, and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour

and He'll do the rest.

Mar 1:15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent, andbelieve the gospel.

Gal 1:8 But even if we or an angel from Heavenpreach a gospel to you other than what we preached to you,let him beaccursed
