Yes. ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE: Yes of course. Marriage is something by choice. I am a Hindu and just because I am doesn't mean I have to get married to another Hindu. It's by choice. If you want to, then you should. If you don't want to, then don't. Simple :)

It is not something that is to be favoured. It creates ambiguity later when the question of name and belief of children crops up. If a Hindu marries with a person of other religion, he/she should change the religion also.
