The three general questions that religion answers that Science does not are the following:
1. How did we get here? (There has been no proven theories of science to explain this)
2. Why are we here? (Science does not even attempt to answer this one)
3. Where are we going? (Although science has tried to foretell the future, often times it has been incorrect)
Questions that ask about opinions can't be answered with science. As a teacher, I have students rephrase their question more specifically so that it can be answered by science. Their proposed answer to the question is their hypothesis. This is why science cannot demonstrate religion as a hoax, as much as atheists would like to believe it. Unfortunately for believers, science cannot demonstrate the truth of religion either. Religion is one of those regions beyond the pale of science.
yes
It can if you state the question clearly.
I'm assuming science can't answer why people believe in whichever religion they do.
Science can only answer questions about the natural world and how it works. Questions about philosophy, ethics, religion or the supernatural do not lend themselves to empirical analysis.
Science and religion both attempt to answer questions relating to existence or being. Science is mainly concerned with the structure and behavior of being while religion focuses on the purpose of being.
the same as having medicine to treat social disorders probability is the science here drugs cant cure a gamboling addicition drugs cant cure religion either religion can cause war drugs cant stop war
Science questions are science questions.
There is no relationship, and it is not proper to give religion an air of respectibility by mentioning it in the same breath as science. Religion is against science because science proves religious belief is a laughing-stock. Religion has inhibited progress in science, and will, by nature, always try to do so. Compare a prayer to a jab of penicillin. Science is questions that may never be answered; religion is answers that may never be questioned. I'd like to know how we got here then......In your opinion.
Religion is a very complicated subject, since there are many different religions, and each religion is subject to many different interpretations. Science is much more unified. I would say that there are at least some interpretations of religion which are compatible with science. There are also interpretations of religion which are incompatible with science. The choice is yours.
Yes, some questions related to morality, purpose, and the existence of a higher power may be better addressed by religion, as it deals with subjective beliefs and values. Science, on the other hand, is more suited for answering questions about the physical world and natural phenomena through empirical evidence and experimentation.
Religion is not a science.
