What is odd is that non-Catholic Christians accept the Catholic Church's decision as infallible re: the NT Cannon while, at the same time, rejecting the Catholic Church's decision re: what constitutes the OT Cannon even though BOTH canons were declared, infallibly, at the SAME Council of Carthage.

4. The Holy Bible would include the OT & NT Canon of the current Catholic Bible for over 1200 years. Then, Protestant Christendom would REMOVE books from the Bible, ie., Macabees, Ester, etc., for no legitimate reason IMO. Protestant Christendom returned the OT Canon to the Canon that Jews declared in the 1st Century AD. At that time, the Jewish Rabbis decided to exclude all OT books not written in Hebrew. Well, Jesus himself and the Apostles quoted, in the NT, several passages from scripture written only in Greek that were later rejected by Jews as part of THEIR OT Canon. The Catholic Church simply rejected the 1st Century Jewish OT Canon because their OT/Bible canon was established/codified POST the existence of Jesus Christ and the authoritative, teaching, preaching and apostolic Christian Church -- already identified as The Catholic Church.

5. IMO, the burden of proof is squarely on non-Catholic Christians to demonstrate why, and on what authority, they removed Books from the Canon of the Christian Bible, which is exactly what they did.
