Could a white dove be a sign of an angel?

Yes it could be. Yes of course.you are lucky person! From another perspective: The white dove is a symbol, not a sign, it's traditional use is a Symbol of peace, and love. Well, in The Bible after Jesus was baptised a white dove flew down and settled on his shoulder. A voice from above then said that Jesus was the Son of God. Then after that the white dove was then the symbol for the holy spirit. From another perspective: No. There are no such thing as angels; the bible (and religion as a whole) was created by the rich to control the poor. If you see a white dove, it means nothing - do not delude yourself. This answer may not be nice to hear, but that does not mean it is not the truth. From the First "another" perspective: The Hebrews, had orders from their God, that forbid them to make any image, or likeness, of anything seen in the heavens, earth, or seas. and they held true to that order. Doves were used in early sacrifices, with the blood of the dove, sprinkled on the alter. Surely you don't imagine, that these were Symbolic of killing Angels, do you? I don't think you do, there were never any drawings, or any likeness made, of the things seen in those times, they were forbidden, Period! All the Nice pictures, drawings, statues, Etc. of Angels, and the like, are the works of Artists, for the sake of making a buck, and nothing more. There was no Court Artist, who painted the Angels, or the Christian God, Jesus. And as Jesus was a Jew himself, he would have never allowed it to happen in the first place. The Face(s) you see of "Jesus" or "Marry" are the work of later Imaginative Artists, and there is no Physical Description in the New Testament likewise, of Jesus, other then a couple of references to his age. Yes he had hands, yes he had a head of thorns, but no reference to his hair color, eye color, his height, his weight, his complexion, Etc. Those are the works of the Artist. This however does not prove that Angels did not exist, but as to what they looked like, there too, there is no description capable of anything other then ones imagination. Remember they had a law, you could not make pictures, drawings, Etc. of what they saw, or were seeing. And yes I know some tried anyhow, like Ezekiel trying to describe the objects coming down out of the clouds, there were others as well, You have of course a Liberty to believe anything that makes you happy, just don't force others to believe as you do, and all will be well. Yes and it must be a unique dove if it isw going to be a sign of an angel. And you must be a preety good person too. : D

From another perspective: YES God works in special ways if you think it was a sign...by all means do not let it slip out of your hands keep it and ask god to reveal himself to you ..trust me he will! :)I think hes trying to get to your heart just let him in!what do you have to loose?
