The 144000 persons of Revelation 14 are not a literal number of people. It is a figurative number reflecting those that come through the end time of trouble. They are virgins in that they are pure in faith keeping the 10 commandments of God and faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ. They do not prostitute themselves with false doctrine or teachings. They are part of the elect found in Matt. They are not all Jews as the Jews are decendants of the tribes of Judah and Benjamine. The other 10 tribes have been scattered over the entire earth. The elect are any persons who study the word of God, find truth and hold to the teachings of Jesus Christ not believing in the false teachings of other religious leaders who decieve many by teaching things people want to hear. It is only those who study the word carefully that will not be decieve and thus will inherit the kingdom with Christ.

Dan and Ephraim are not mentioned among the 144,000 in Revelation 7, which lists 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. Some interpretations suggest that this omission may be due to Dan's association with idolatry in the Old Testament, as seen in Judges 18. Additionally, Ephraim, being part of the northern kingdom of Israel, is sometimes viewed as representing a larger collective that may be encompassed by the tribe of Joseph, which is included in the listing. This reflects the complexities of biblical lineage and the symbolic nature of the tribes in apocalyptic literature.

The 144000 as we understand it to mean, will be High Priests, ordained unto the holy order of God. Twelve thousand out of every tribe of Israel. They will be ordained to preach the everlasting gospel to every kindred tongue and people. and will be given power over all the nations of the earth to do so to as many who will accept.
The 144,000 refer to a group mentioned in the Book of Revelation in the New Testament, specifically Revelation 7 and 14. They are described as 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel, symbolizing a faithful remnant of God's people. Traditionally, they are interpreted as either literal descendants of these tribes or as a symbolic representation of a larger group of believers who remain faithful to God during times of tribulation. Their identity and significance vary among different religious interpretations, particularly within Christianity and Jehovah's Witnesses.

In Jehovah's Witnesses' beliefs, the 144,000 mentioned in the Bible from the Book of Revelation represent a specific group of Christians chosen by God for a heavenly calling. They believe that this group has been selected throughout history and will reign with Jesus in heaven. This belief is not exclusive to the Jehovah's Witnesses organization but is a common interpretation among some Christian denominations.
The Scripture does not state one way or the other. Most people assume they are from all 12 Tribes of Israel - but it never mentions the tribe of Dan so there are some unanswered questions in this story.
