No. It is a very sad scene in the movie version of Cleo. The beautiful Queen is lying in State in the Palace or some mortuary temple ( very afterlife-conscious the Egyptians had mortuary temples rather like modern funeral parlors or chapels) this may have been undergrounds. Aides, certainly not slaves are preparing the cremation fires- as Cleopatra was Greek, this was the standard mode of disposal of the dead. One or two- it"s usually two of her Ladies In Waiting ( most definitely not Slaves, these are Palace aides to Queens or Princesses- and by definition they would at least be of Countess rank) committed suicide by falling on swords or spears, or something involving edged weapons. Evidentally the dead Ladies in Waiting were then cremated with the sad Queen. How much of this is historically accurate we don"t know, tney were Ladies in Waiting, certainly not slave girls! There is a still photograph of Liz laid out and the Ladies appear to be acting up- it is sometimes dubbed (The Wake of Cleopatra).
