Since it was Jesus' human body which died, God raised Him. This is stated quite simply and clearly in The Bible verses quoted below. The implications of this are another matter. Since Jesus is the Second Adam and is the one who will 'lead many sons to glory' it was appropriate that He should be raised, just as Christian believers who have died before His return will be raised.

AnswerChrist said that He was the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no man cometh unto the Father but by Him (John 14:6). Therefore, it would make sense that He raised Himself, as the Personification of Life would certainly be able to lay His life down (and willingly shed His blood, as it was not spilt) and take it up again, which He did.

Though I am going out on a limb here, I would tend to believe that each member of the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Ghost) are self-sufficent, which would explain how Jesus raised Himself up by Himself.

Furthermore, Christ was 100% man and 100% God, and when the body gave way to death, His deity came into play and resurrected His body all on its own. There are lots of questions about how Christ could be 100% both, but He was, which just makes sense, though that does and will not stop people from questioning how, to which there most certainly are answers.

Finally, if something cannot be understood, the problem most likely is with our way of thinking and not with God or His Word. This is due to the fact that His thoughts are above our thoughts, as His ways (of doing things) are higher than ours.
