Remember that a disciple is someone who believes and helps to spread the doctrine of another. If however you are referring to the twelve apostles, then yes he gave equal opportunities to all, but only in so far as they were able to carry out that opportunity. Remember He gave only Peter, James and John the presidency of the church because He knew that they would fulfil that opportunity even though the rest remained prophets, seers and revelators.
Jesus needed disciples to teach and prepare them for carrying on His work after He returned to Heaven.> They were chosen to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the beginning of the Lord's mission when He was teaching them they were called disciples. Later He called his disciples together and chose twelve from amongst them and the Lord called them Apostles (Luke 6:13; Matthew 10:2). They organised the Church of Jesus Christ and were instrumental in spreading the Gospel to the gentiles(non Jewish races of people) after Peter, the leader of the Apostles, saw a vision in which God basically showed Peter that all men were equal and there was no longer a distinction between Jew and Gentile (Acts10:9-16; 10:28).>
In the christian faith it is the symbol of Jesus Christ. Jesus says "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." He also uses it as a symbol of his body during the last supper.
According to the Bible the Christ is Jesus who is the Son of God. Being the Son of God and being co-equal with God means that Jesus the Christ has been from eternity past and will live forever in heaven. He was not created.
It was mainly about the nature of Jesus Christ. The question was whether Jesus was equal to (Athanasius's pov) or subordinate to (Arius' pov) God the Father.
If the opportunities are different then they are not equal.

The whole Bible does not in fact support this. There are many scriptures in any Bible that tell us that Jesus and Jehovah are separate Ones like Jesus telling his disciples that the Father is greater than he is, and that only the Father knows when the end will come. Also, there are many other religions that do not believe in the trinity. And as evidence they use logical thinking, such as why would Christ pray to some one who is supposedly equal to him?
there is no father of Jesus(pbuh) because he was born miraculously --- Answer: God is without beginning. Pre-existent from all time. Before Him, nothing was.. He always has been. God the Father and Jesus (the Christ, his only begotten Son) are one, in unity with the Holy Spirit, co-equal; co-eternal; without beginning, nor end. Jesus was made man through the power of the Holy Spirit by the Virgin Mary. ---
Actually Christ Jesus, the head of the Christian arrangement, does not want his religion to be equal to other religions. Jesus said: 'I am - - the way, the truth, and the life."; then he said: "NO ONE, comes to the Father, except through me."Since Christ Jesus claims to be the son of the Creator of the Universe; he does not want his religion to be on par with other religions. They are considered 'pagan' by him.Jesus twice came into the temple, and he disrespected the other worshipers, by overturning their tables and booths.
The Pharisees disliked Christ because He called himself the Son of God, therefor making himself equal to God. He also kept breaking Pharisaic Law as He believed it did not agree with scripture. Jesus only kept the Law of Moses. For example; Jesus and His disciples broke laws by going into a field on the Sabbath and eating grain. Pharisaic Law says that they broke 4 Laws, these were working, winnowing, reaping and storing on the Sabbath. Jesus broke many Pharisaic Laws throughout scripture, mostly to show that they were not scripturally correct, and to show that He was against them.
