yes.....and god told him what she was looking for...
The Pharaoh Ramses is said to have spoken to Moses.
Moses lived in the Egyptian palace, as he was adopted by the daughter of Pharaoh.
She (Yocheved), at the behest of Pharaoh's daughter, nursed Moshe (Moses). As far as I know, she lived long enough to enter the Holy Land with the rest of her nation.
no one really knows how Moses grew up, we just know that his mother put him in a basket, and put the basket in the river. the river took him to Pharoah's daughter, and later he, with God's help, delivered the Isrealites from Egypt.
Yes. Moses' "brother's" name was Ramses. I'm not sure which one but i know his name was Ramses.
First of all, Moses was not the son of slaves. According to tradition, the scholarly Tribe of Levi (Moses' tribe) was never enslaved.Second, Moses presented himself as a leader of the Israelites, so Pharaoh could have taken that into consideration. Third, Moses had been raised in Pharaoh's palace (Exodus ch.2). Fourth, we today do not know all of the circumstances. There have been kings who had set times to briefly meet with those coming to petition them, from whatever walk of life.
Moses never had to make such a choice. He knew all along that he was an Israelite; and as a servant of God, he obeyed God's command to announce the Plagues against Egypt. And after the Exodus, Moses never looked back. How did Moses, raised by Pharaoh's daughter, know he was an Israelite -1) In those days, Israelite custom was to nurse babies for up to four years. Since it was his own mother who nursed him (Exodus 2:8-9), his family had plenty of time to teach him before he was returned to Pharaoh's daughter (Exodus 2:10) to live in the palace.2) Moses was not a prisoner in the royal palace. He came and went as he pleased (Exodus 2:11 and 2:13) and sought out his people (ibid).See also:More about Moses
Nurses in Bible times were women who would breastfeed someone else's baby. Those who are named are: Deborah (Rebekah's nurse) and Jochebed, Moses' birth mother, was his nursemaid (though pharaoh's daughter didn't know she was his real mother).
If you mean why can't just anyone become pharaoh, it's because you have to be the oldest surviving son of the old pharaoh to become pharaoh, or I think if the son(s) perished, then the husband of the daughter of the old pharaoh. And, anyway, Egypt moved out of that system of government AGES ago, just to let you know.
1) He was circumcised2) There would have been no other reason for him to be in the bullrushes 3) Israelites were lighter-skinned (Rashi commentary on Genesis ch.12), and Moses had two Israelite parents
God knows everything. See Exodus 13:17 to 14:31.
After Moses ha fled Egypt God came unto him in the form of a burning bush and told him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt due to the forced labor they underwent for Pharaoh. Moses protested saying he was not a great speaker so God allowed Aaron to speak for him. Moses appeared before he elders and turned his staff into a serpent so they would believe him. He then performed the miracle before Pharaoh but God had hardened his heart so he would not allow the Israelites to leave. After the the death of the first born son, with Passover for the Israelites, Pharaoh chased them out of Egypt. Moses then received the Ten Commandments and the miracle of manna.
