Joseph Smith, Jr. organized the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) and was considered the president and prophet of that Church from it's founding in 1830 until his murder in 1845, after which time Brigham Young took his place. During his childhood and teenage years, Joseph attended a number of Christian churches with his family, including Methodists, Baptists, and Presbyterians, but was never baptized into any of them.
I am assuming that you are referring to Joseph, the father of Jesus from the Bible. Egypt is an arab state which means that its people are from the Middle East and are largely Muslim. Christianity is a large religion in Egypt but Muslim is also a key religion with many divisions within Egypt and the rest of the Middle East. A king of Egypt may not be Christian.
