The concept of "original sin" is a Christian teaching.
Catholics believe that the Sacrament of Baptism forgives Original Sin and all personal sin.
Many religions believe that all people are sinners in some way, as humans are seen as inherently imperfect and prone to wrongdoing. This belief emphasizes the concept of original sin or the idea that people are born with a tendency to sin. However, different religions interpret the idea of sin and the consequences of sin differently.
The concept of original sin is primarily found in Christian theology, particularly within Catholicism and some branches of Protestantism. It is not a universal concept across all religions or belief systems.
A lot of religions believe so. And that's fine, but I personally don't believe in masturbation being a sin.
Yes
Roman Catholics believe in the concept of purgatory, a place where souls are purified before entering heaven. They also believe in the doctrine of original sin, which states that all humans inherit sin from Adam and Eve. On the other hand, Orthodox Christians do not believe in purgatory and have a different understanding of original sin, viewing it more as a tendency towards sin rather than an inherited guilt.
I believe they all do. If not all, then certainly the vast majority. After all, if humanity was considered perfect, then there would be no concept of sin, right? There would be no need for religious laws or scripts (such as the bible) and different religions wouldn't be at odds with one another. Perhaps there would only be a single religion?! Answer: Methinks the posted question may be referring to the doctrine of original sin. In Judaism, we believe that the soul is created unflawed. (That isn't the same thing as absolute perfection, which describes God alone.)
Not in all religions ... but i don't celebrate it because i think its a sin !!
The doctrine of original sin is one that Mennonites do not hold to. Mennonites believe that children are innocent and are not able to sin until the age of reasoning is reached.
All sins followed original sin, the next sin listed in the Bible was murder.
Belief in God is subjective and varies among individuals and cultures. Some religions may consider it a sin to not believe in God, while others may not. It ultimately depends on the beliefs and teachings of the specific religion in question.
