Do animals go to same heaven as ours?

Animals do not have free will, and as such are unable to reject God. Simply by continuing to act as dogs they are conforming with God's plan for them. As such, dogs do not go to hell. Some people believe that as dogs do not have free will, they do not have souls and so they cannot go to heaven either. Others believe that as a part of 'good' creation they will be in heaven as will all other aspects of 'good' creation (ie, grass, trees, sky, clouds, sunlight, flowers, music, sound). It's up to you what you decide, as, until we die, we have no way of being certain.

Nothing in the Christian Bible indicates that animals have soul, a prerequisite for going to heaven. Many Christians feel that "Accepting the Lord" is also required for a trip to heaven - hard to prove if a cow (dog, cat, hyena, fly, etc.) has done this or is even capable of doing this.

The reason I think they do (Remember I am a Christian) is because there is a verse in The Bible that says.. And the lion will lie down with the lamb.. Only humans, who possess a soul, can go to Heaven. After all, our pets do not commit sins against God, and would naturally go to Heaven if they had souls. If they were thinking, reasoning beings, who were capable of carrying out a thought process, perhaps they could have a soul then. The Bible is very clear about one thing: We are made by God in order to worship Him and sing His praises, always. That is all there is to it! (Our purpose for being here is to sing God's praises!) Cats and dogs cannot do that! All cats and dogs want to do is eat, sleep, try to reproduce, groom themselves and each other, then eat, sleep, try to reproduce, groom themselves and each other, then repeat the process over and over. They are not capable of hating, or having any sort of intention to do good or evil! They can only learn the simple yes or no that goes with, "Good dog!" or maybe, "Bad kitty!"

There is some difficulty in answering certain kinds of questions where the biblical teaching is not clear. Where the bible is inconclusive, our wisest approach is to hold the question as inconclusive. For example, there is debate over the existence and nature of soul. Since there are differing legitimate opinions on that question, then excluding animals from heaven on the basis of whether or not they have souls is not reasonable. Also, in the absence of direct biblical teachings that there are no non-human earth creatures in heaven, it is probably wise to hold the question inconclusive. If God desires that there be such creatures in heaven, then their certainly will be; and if there are not, it is because God does not will it. Personally, I am rooting for animals.

Ok, maybe they do, maybe they don't. Personally, I think SOME do, if you think about it. Certainly if the "soul" makes the difference between something that is alive and something that is dead, then SURE!! Of course they go to heaven. And actually if you think about it, I'm pretty sure your dog, cat, gecko, or whatever pet you have loves you, and isn't that a pretty darn good emotion??? This is funny, my dog was praying with her paws one night because she saw us doing it, dogs don't have to do that to pray. maybe theres a way they pray. If there are trees and buildings in heaven, why wouldn't there be animals. Heaven is not empty clouded area. It is the father's house which is nothing that we can compare to (1 Corinthians 2:9). The Bible does not have specific verses catering to this topic because the Bible was created for the salvation of mankind but when God created everything, God saw that it was good. God put life into everything. The only thing differentiating humans from animals is that we are in the image and likeness of God and God put man as ruler over all his creations. Restating some of the above, God created all things and said it was good (Genesis 1:25). All creatures with the 'breath of life' were saved in pairs/numbers from the Great worldwide flood (see Genesis 6:17 and 7:15).

The Bible declares a 'new earth' in Revelation 21:1 so why couldn't there be animal life as there definetely will be during the Millennial Rule of Christ? (see Isaiah 11:16; 65:21). We are told God is just and all loving who creates in massive variety and wonder. Though no definitive Scripture points to the fact of animals/pets being in the world to come, as a pet owner, I certainly hope they are with us.

No, as far as I know it doesn't but the actual stance on that point can vary depending on personal belief. I for one do believe that animals go to heaven. In my case heaven would not be a perfect world if it did not include my two dogs. One of them is already dead and I miss her. But since animals cannot sin the claim that they do not go to heaven because they can't accept or deny our savior kind of refutes itself because they don't need to. I believe that animals are amost more worthy of heaven than we are. I hate people who would tell everyone that animals don't go to heaven because they tr to tell me that Abby and Ellie won't be there with me. They don't know what they are saying. Of course any pets we have will be there. God willing we will see them again.

Then God made man,

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

But notice the differences man is made in Gods image, and God breathed live into the man (not into the animals). I take from this that man has a spirit and animals don't.

Humans go to hell because they reject God. Animal don't have the capacity to make that decision.

Animals cannot go to heaven, because they have no soul. Additionally, they do not possess the same mindset or ability as us (humans). We are more capable of understanding the world that we live in. We are also able to learn about the Word of God. Animals, however, are unable to understand things like this. The teachings in the Bible therefore do not apply to animals. Only we humans are expected by God to obey all of His commandments. Those who are obedient to the Lord God until the end will be saved; those who choose to rebel against Him and do not repent will be condemned.
