Do any authentic relics from Jerusalem date to the time of Jesus?

Beginning with Helena, the Christian mother of the fourth century emperor, Constantine, many so-called authentic relics have been found. These include the true cross of Jesus and the crosses of the two others, all in miraculously perfect condition. Eventually, there was enough wood from the true cross to make several crosses. They also include the Shroud of Turin, and at various times several shrouds, all of which were the true shrouds of Jesus.

The only relic that dates to the first century and that has been associated with the name of Jesus is the ossuary, or bone box, that could have contained the bones of James, brother of Jesus. While the bone box is accepted as being from the first century, Israeli forensic experts say that the writing has been tampered with in order to create a possible association with Jesus. A criminal trial is under way, but it may never be established beyond reasonable doubt who falsified the markings on the outside of the ossuary. Although ancient, this does not appear to be a genuine relic.
