Almost all Masonic organizations worldwide require that a potential member must believe in God before they are allowed to join the organization in the first place. However, the purpose of meeting in the Lodge is not to worship God, and in fact that does not take place. Masons are expected to worship God in whatever church, temple or mosque they habitually attend, and at home, using whatever form of worship seems proper to them.
