ANOTHER ANSWER:

The Scriptures don't support this popular tale among men. In fact, The Bible maintains a distinct separation between flesh and blood man and the angels:

"For somewhere in the Scriptures [Ps.144:3] it says, 'What is man that you should think of him, and the son of man that you should care for him? For a little while YOU MADE HIM LOWER THAN THE ANGELS, and you crowned him with Glory and Honor. You gave him authority over all things.' Now when it says 'all things,' it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all of this happen. "What we do see is JESUS, who 'for a little while was MADE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS [Jesus was made a flesh and blood MAN for a time, just like us] and now is 'CROWNED WITH GLORY and HONOR' because HE SUFFERED DEATH FOR US. Yes, by God's Grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone in all the world…" (Heb.2:6-9 NLT New Living Translation)

The Bible reveals that mankind has the potential to become "crowned with Glory and Honor" LIKE JESUS CHRIST is today… NOT TO BECOME ANGELS!

"Yes, dear friends, we are already GOD'S CHILDREN, and we can't even imagine what we will be like when CHRIST RETURNS. But we do know that WHEN HE COMES WE WILL BE LIKE HIM, for we will see Him as He really is. And all who believe this will keep themselves Pure, just as Christ is Pure." (I John 3:2-3 NLT)

"And it was only Right that God - who made everything and for whom everything was made - should BRING HIS MANY CHILDREN INTO GLORY. Through the suffering of Jesus, God made Him a Perfect Leader, one fit to bring them into their Salvation. So now Jesus AND THE ONES HE MAKES HOLY have THE SAME FATHER. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to CALL THEM HIS BROTHERS AND SISTERS. For He said to God, 'I will declare the wonder of your Name to My brothers and sisters. I will praise you among all your people.'" (Heb.2:10-12 NLT)

Jesus Christ is NOT AN ANGEL today. He is THE SON OF GOD! And He is Leading mankind [His future brothers and sisters] by the hand INTO HIS FATHER'S DIVINE, IMMORTAL FAMILY.

"Long ago God [the Father] spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. But now in these FINAL DAYS, He has spoken to us THROUGH HIS SON. God promised everything [the universe] to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son HE MADE THE UNIVERSE and EVERYTHING IN IT [see John 1:3].

"The Son reflects God's own Glory, and everything about Him represents God EXACTLY. He sustains the universe by the Mighty Power of His Command. After He died to cleanse us from the stain of sin, He sat down in the PLACE OF HONOR at the Right Hand of the Majestic God of heaven.

"THIS SHOWS THAT GOD'S SON IS FAR GREATER THAN THE ANGELS [and therefore man's potential as Christ's brothers and sisters is to become greater than angels, also], just as the Name God gave Him is far greater than their names. For God never said to any angel what He said to Jesus: 'YOU ARE MY SON. Today I have become YOUR FATHER.' …And then, when He presented His Honored Son to the world, God said, 'LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM.' "God call His angels 'MESSENGERS swift as the wind, and SERVANTS made of flaming fire.' But to His Son He says, 'Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. Your Royal Power is expressed in Righteousness. You Love what is Right and hate what is wrong. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of Joy on you more than on anyone else.'" (Heb.1:1-9 NLT)

"…And God never said to an angel, as He did to His Son, 'Sit in Honor at My Right Hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.' But THE ANGELS ARE ONLY SERVANTS. THEY ARE SPIRITS sent from God TO CARE FOR THOSE WHO WILL RECEIVE SALVATION." (verses13-14)

There is much more to know about angels from the Scriptures. But the Bible makes it quite clear that… for awhile [for this present age in which we are all living]… mankind is "a little lower than the angels" as Christ once was, being born, Himself, a flesh and blood man "for a little while." But when Jesus was raised from the dead [as is prophesied for man, also] Jesus did NOT become an angel… but the FIRSTBORN CHILD OF GOD THE FATHER IN HEAVEN!

"For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to BECOME LIKE HIS SON, so that His Son would be the Firstborn, WITH MANY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him, And He gave them right standing with Himself, and He promised them His Glory." (Rom.8:29-30 NLT)

"For all creation is waiting eagerly for THAT FUTURE DAY when God will REVEAL WHO HIS CHILDREN REALLY ARE. Against its will, everything on earth was subject to God's curse. All creation anticipates the Day when it will JOIN GOD'S CHILDREN in Glorious Freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning AS IN THE PAINS OF CHILDBIRTH right up to this present time… even we… although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of Future Glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering. We, too, wait anxiously for that Day when God will GIVE US OUR FULL RIGHTS AS HIS CHILDREN [not angels], including THE NEW BODIES He has promised us." (verses 19-23)

No... we don't become angels when we die. We "fall asleep" in the grave, and await the return of Jesus Christ and the time of our re-birth as God's Pure and Righteous Children into His Divine Immortal Family!

How many people believe we see angels?

All your dead and love ones have turned into angels. None will go to hell no matter what they've been told, god will forgive each and everyone. If you believe in angels and there is one in the vicinity you will see it.............for those who don't believe it is less likely. No we do not become Angels when we die, Angels are a completely different creation from mankind, and to believe one can not go to hell is a foolish assumption to make, when we die mankind can become Saints not Angels.
