no, you don't
Sell all of your worldly possessions, give the money to the poor, and follow Christ.
Monastic communities consist of groups of Christian men who have given up all their private possessions and lived very simply, devoting their lives to worship. These men are called monks. Female monastic communities are comprised of nuns.
Not really, you can go to church and still not be a Christian. To tell if your a "good" Christian you look at your attitude and the things you do. If you try your best at all times to be like Jesus Christ then that makes you a "good" Christian. If you love God with all your heart and love everyone even your enemies then that's all that matters. But by loving people you follow all the other qualities of being a Christian.

One doesn't necessarily have to give away any possessions when they "become" a Buddhist. Buddhism teaches impermanence of all things and non-attachment, so in this way it is better to give up our emotional attachment to material objects. Answer: It isn't so much that you are compelled to give things away, but you walk away from them as you see how empty there possessions become.
No trouble at all for the Christian boy and girl - they are both Christian. The trouble is for their parents, and if they are not Christians they will make trouble; but for the two Christians; just give it all to Jesus; his people are called to suffer with him anyway; (Romans 8.17)
Mike Murdock is a preacher of the "prosperity theology" in the evangelical Christian movement. This Movement preaches that the more you tithe(give 10% of worldly possessions) and offer above and beyond that, the more God will put back into your bank account. You will be rich, because (according to them) God promises it, if only you will give to Him first, even though nowhere in the Bible does God say make this promise that if you follow him and give him all this that he will bless you with material possessions. This is a relatively new "doctrine" being propounded by a very small but loud minority in evangelicalism. It cannot be found being taught in church History anytime previous to the 1960's.
