The song we three kings was said to be written by John Henry Hopkins Jr. in Williamsport, Pennsilvania. It is a pretty sweet song!

We Three Kings Of Orient Are
II Kings 3:10 & 13 Daniel 7:24 & 11:2 These are very obscure passages so I suppose you are asking about the 3 kings from the traditional Christmas song: to which the answer is there is no mention of 3 kings visiting Jesus birth in Scripture. Matthew 2:1 refers to the Magi (wise men) that visited from the East.
Kaspar, also spelled Gaspard, Casper ( of ghost land fame) and some other spellings is an apocryphal character. he is not actually mentioned in the Bible- but is sort of legendary as one of the Three Kings or Wise Men ( the bible nowhere suggests they were Kings or even Noblemen_ the Three wise men were Kaspar ( no matter how you spell it) Balthazar or Balshazar ( presumably an Arabic type) and Melchior- which is often pronounced like ( Mell- Choir- like a musical group.) actually in the old 220 they are not mentioned by name. it is not even stated there were three , or they were kings. PS a Russian legend has it the Three Wise Men were escorted by members of the Scythian Border Patrol ( proto-Cossacks) and these ( Intrepid agents of sword and spear, dispelled the dangers that hovered near- no they did not have a police helicopter, that is unwarrantee poetic license. these blokes were the remote ancestor of the Cossacks- and eventually the Border Patrol elements of- well You know what. The idea was suggested in the song version of ( march of the Kings) a Russian Orthodox Epiphany hymn- lends itself well to orchestra work-and is a much better song than We Three Kings- in my opinion. not too popular in US. there you have it.
