According to Christian beliefs, God can forgive sins without confession, but confession is often seen as a way to seek forgiveness and reconcile with God.
You go to confession to confess to God your sins, you pray for forgiveness and god listens he will forgive you. If you are truthful and truly sorry for what you did then god will forgive you.
God forgives their sins in the same way as He forgives the sins of Muslims or Buddhists or Hindus or... He forgives them if they repent. As Jews are not Catholics (or Orthodox), they cannot go to confession.
it means confessing your sins
there are absolutely no sins that God does not forgive.
God forgives all of your sins when you ask for forgiveness.
Answer: No. Only God can forgive sins. We do not worship Muhammad.
Roman Catholic answerThe priest is sitting in for God. God has provided you a priest so that he may hear your confession, and judge you. Then the priest imparts God's absolution to you. He must actually hear, in person, your sins in order to forgive them. If you do not articulate all of your sins, then none of them are forgiven and you have committed the sin of sacrilege on top of it!
No, We confess our sins to God directly.
god forgive my sins
Only god can forgive our sins , as apostles to were sinners. And not gods.
The fact is that Catholic secret confession is not found in the Bible. In the Lord's prayer - Matthew ch6:v9 - Jesus teaches His followers to pray "Our Father (God) who art in heaven...,and in v. 12 ..forgive us our sins...". Read Mark ch.2:v.5 which states Jesus said "son, your sins are forgiven." And verse 7 where the scribes said Jesus was speaking blasphemy for forgiving sins as only God could forgive sins, then v. 10 ....the Son has power on earth to forgive sins.." Also 1 John 1 v.9 states "If we confess our sins, He ...will forgive us our sins..". The apostles never heard confessions, see Acts 10:43, or forgave sins! Peter never forgave the sins of Cornelius Acts 10 and Paul never forgave the sins of the Phillipian jailer Acts 16. When Peter sinned, he confessed to God and was forgiven. Sadly, Judas, after sinning, confessed to a group of priests and committed suicide Matt. 27:3-5. Confessing and God's forgivness brings healing and restoration. Bishop Basil (A.D.329-379) wrote strongly about confessing sins to God only. Jesus is our Mediator and through Him we can approach the throne of God with boldness Heb. 4:16 and our sins are forgiven. That's a very brief outline showing from the Bible we ask God to forgive us as we confess our sins to Him. No man or woman can forgive us as they too are sinners. Only the pefect, sinless God can forgive us. Hope that helps.
Confession directly to God helps you but confession to a catholic priest or whatever the catholics practice does not help you. God made it so that we could come to Him with our sins and ask for forgiveness and if we are really sorry about what we have done, He will forgive us. God also made it possible for us to come to Him directly with our prayers, to ask for things. When we ask or confess things to a priest, we are leaving out God, who is the ONLY one who can actually help and forgive us.
