Yes. Paul wrote to the Colossian church to refute false teaching. In the first chapter Paul emphasizes the supremacy of Christ.
He is:
- the image of the invisible God
- the first born of every creature
- the head of the body
- the beginning
- the first born from the dead
The theme of the book of Colossians is the supremacy of Christ. The letter emphasizes Christ's preeminence in all things, including creation, salvation, and the church. It encourages believers to live in light of this truth by focusing on Christ and his teachings.
Paul did not start the church in Colossae. According to his epistle to the Colossians (chapter 1, verse 7) Paul states that the Colossians learned about Christ through Epaphras, "fellow slave" of Christ.
Because of the Holy Ghost - Christ in you, (Colossians 1.27)
The 10th book of the New Testament is the Letter to the Hebrews. It is an epistle attributed to Paul though authorship is debated, and it emphasizes the supremacy of Jesus Christ and the new covenant.
Christ, Christian, Church, Corinthians, Colossians, creation to name a few.
Christ is the leader of true Christianity. He is the head of the body, which is the Church (Colossians 1:18).
The New Testament. Collosians 1:15-30
Ephesians and Colossians are known as 'pseudo-Pauline' epistles, because they were written in Paul's name long after his death. It is believed that Colossians was written in the 70s of the first century and was intended to address a sectarian conflict that had arisen in Asia Minor. Ephesians was written a little later, because it contains many passages directly copied from Colossians. The Epistle to the Ephesians is supposedly addressed to a community of only gentile Christians, but the oldest and best manuscripts do not have the address to the Ephesians, showing that it was really an encyclical to the Church as a whole.
Himself
This is because Jesus Christ is Creator who came as God in the flesh. (See Colossians 1:16 etc)
The evangelized at Colossae were primarily Gentile converts and a small number of Jewish believers. The Apostle Paul did not found the church there but wrote the Epistle to the Colossians to address issues of false teachings and to reinforce the supremacy of Christ. The church was likely established by Epaphras, a disciple of Paul, who played a key role in spreading the Gospel in the region.
Jesus was never discovered, he always was and created all things, (Colossians 1.16). The man, Christ Jesus, was revealed in the first Century AD
