Of course Christians believe in the Blessed Virgin, that's how they got Jesus.
No, only God can answer prayers. When we pray to Mary we are asking her to intercede for us before God to have a request granted. God can approve the request or say no.
mary is the mother of jesus she is pure enough to have the son of god as her child we can pray to her for thing which we need she asks god o do this for us
God requires nothing from us, and nothing we do can curry favor from him.
All the time,Mary will pray for our souls if we are faithful to God and believe to his mercy. She can pray because she is in heaven.Everyone in heaven is granted by the Lord to pray for the salvation of our souls.
The phrase "Pray For us Sinners" is used and is beloved because it further elevates God (or Mary, in this case). How? Well, it admits to our failures. And by lowering ourselves, those whom we worship seem higher and more wonderful.
This line of the prayer Hail Mary is asking her to pray on behalf of us to God, both now in the present time and when we're about to die.
Mother of God, Pray for Us Mother of God, Pray for Us
Catholics don't pray to saints they pray with saints to god with their prayers helping us. We also pray with Mary to pray for us. hence we don't say 'St.Andrew i pray to you' we say 'St.Andrew pray for us'
The meaning of the Hail Mary prayer is to ask Mary to pray for us. She is immaculate and never has displeased God, and she gave birth to God the Son who had become Flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit. So she is very close and we ask her to pray for us because she has a strong relationship with God. We don't worship Mary, we worship God who created everyone, Jesus did mention that you can pray directly to God but it is a more humble way of praying, and the prayers of saints are more powerful than our prayers. But in old English word, to worship means to give honor. E.g His Worship is a title given to Mayor. So in the sense of old English word, it is right to say that we 'worship' Mary. It is later only that the word "worship" is reserved only to a deity, a God. It is also the same with prayers to angels and saints. "Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among woman and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen." In old English, to pray means to ask or to request. Prayer means a request. We pray to got because we request from got. We pray to Mother Mary because we request Mary to pray for us. Hail Mary, (giving honor to Mary, would anyone disagree giving honor to another being?) full of grace (It's in the Bible! search harder! full of grace means free from sin. Adam and Eve were full of grace) the Lord is with thee (hope no one will say this unbiblical. the Lord is with all of us) blessed art thou among woman (she's the most blessed among all women for the Lord have chosen her. It's in the bible!) and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. (hope no one's denying this) Holy Mary, (she's holy because she's set apart for the work of God!) Mother of God (Jesus is fully God and Man. To say that Mary is mother to human Jesus ONLY means denying that Jesus wasn't God when He walked on Earth) pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death (speaks of itself)
Well It depends on what religion you comes from. From the cathlic point of view it is wrong since God wants us to worship him. It is even said in the bible that he is a jealuse God. For us we see it as wrong. For our God has told us not to do. Also for one things as a cathlic we do not worship Mary, or the saint. We pray to them so asking them to pray for and to intercede for us we honor her and them, but thats not the same as worshiping. I hope you like this answer
It is a way for us to connect with God.
The prayer of Hail Mary goes as follows: Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.Amen.
