Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."

Yes, it says rather a lot about it actually, and it's generally in favor of the concept.

One example from Proverbs: "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways and be wise."

There is, of course, the Fourth Commandment:

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it Holy. SIX DAYS SHALT THOU LABOUR, AND DO ALL THY WORK: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it THOU SHALT NOT DO ANY WORK..." (Ex.20:8-10).
