I know that we are not allowed to preach here. This isn't preaching it's just answering a question that was asked. According to my beliefs and the Christian bible, the effects of Jesus Christs suffering and death were great. Physically the torture and crucification that He went through was unlike any that I could imagine. He suffered and died not because He did anything wrong, or because others forced Him to do it. He suffered and died because He loved us so much. It was His choice to take our punishment for us. Jesus did not have to go through what He did but He did it for us, you and me. I cannot understand how someone could have that much love for me but He did. He knew that by following the old laws we could not get to heaven on our own. Someone had to take our place as punishment for our sins. We all sin and we all have sinned. The effect of Christ's suffering and death is that who ever believes that He died for us, that He took the punishment for us and that if we accept Him as our savior, because that's what He did, He saved us, we would live with Him in heaven eternally. The cool part is that after 3 days He rose from the dead. That proves to me that I will live in heaven after this old body dies. The effect is that we don't need to go to hell for our sins. Jesus made a way for us. No sales, no gimmicks, no silly rituals, just believe and turn your life over to him. If you feel that I'm preaching, I'm sorry that you feel that way. You asked so I'm answering. The effect that impacts me the most? I serve a risen savior and I'll see Him in heaven! How great is that! Some may say that I'm wrong. That is their opinion. If I am wrong and we just dry up and turn to dust when we die, then I have lost nothing because of my beliefs. But, if they are wrong, then the outcome is unimaginable and I will be in heaven. Choose wisely. Hope to see you there.
