Here, trespasses and sins are compared to "death"; and the sinner is "brought back to life", using the same symbolism.
Grace. It is grace because it was given to us when we were sinners and when Christ died for us. Please see: Ephesians 2.5. Even when we were dead in sins, (God) hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
No Lucifer does not have children.Another answer:Literally, no. Figuratively, yes. John 8:44 - You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. [NKJV]Yes, but these were fallen angels and they were not blood related. Lucifer did mate with many mortal women and make the Nephilim race.Answer: No. Angels are asexual.Answer:Yes... adopted children... those who walk 'according to the course of this world':"And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE." (Eph.2:1-2)
Acts 17:31 "...whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."
Yes, the Devil or Satan is the archenemy of God, but since he can't do anything to God, he does anything he can to harm those whom God loves. From the very beginning his weapon of choice is deception as we can see in his conversation with Eve in the garden of Eden. The devil has boundaries as we can see in the first chapter of Job. Below are just two examples of his activities in the world today. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:In whom the god of this world (the Devil) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2Corinthians 4:3,4And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, (the Devil) the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Ephesians 2:1-2
Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound, That saved a soul like me! I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind, but now I see. Romans 3:23,24 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” Romans 5:15,17,21 "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Ephesians 1:6,7 "To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his [Jesus Christ’s] blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his [God’s] grace." Ephesians 2:1-8 “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
Every born-again believer has the ministry of reconciliation and can lead others to Christ with the word of reconciliation, the Holy Bible. We share from the scriptures how to get saved and how to grow in the knowledge of the truth. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. II Corinthians 5:18,19
It means that our sins are forgiven and we have eternal life if we believe. For the Bible says: For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (1 Peter 3.18)
