God gave man the choice to choose between Good and evil?

if you are part of this world it is your responsibilty to do the right thing but it is in some way a free contrey so it is that mans freedom to decide to go for good or evil Choosing between good and evil is called "Free Agency". God has given to all men the ability to distinguish between good and evil. Each choice we make, whether it be good or evil has its consequences. Choosing to do evil, even if it is only one act, will leave an unfavourable mark upon us. It will always be there in the back of our minds making us feel uncomfortable. Not only will it affect ourselves but others as well, for neally every act we take affects the lives of others directly or indirectly. Yes he gives us free will. The same way God gives us the choice to chose between Him and the world/sin. Some people ask why would God send us to Earth to live if He already knows we are going to Heaven or Hell. The answer is free will. It is better to choose God, for the outcome in the end is much greater.

Some Christians say that we are inherently evil and that only their God can make us do good things. Others say that we are not so much evil but weak and that their devil causes us to do evil and that we need help from God to defeat the devil. No matter how Christian advocates look at our nature, it always seems to lead back to the need to worship their God or face the consequences. This leaves no room for conscience or free will, in the true sense of the words.
In our secular education, we learn that we all have a conscience that is programmed into us from early childhood. Our sense of ethics and our moral behaviour are the result of free will, guided by our conscience, which in most people acts to inhibit wrongdoing and encourage social cooperation.

On the other hand, there is no evidence that people who see themselves as Christians conduct themselves more ethically than those who do not. Thus there is no evidence that God helps his followers to do good rather than evil. The proportion of people in our jails who see themselves as Christian is very similar to the proportion in the population as a whole.

Humankind are supposed to have freewill to choose this stuff - however, we don't have freewill to choose to have freewill so how can we??
