The disciples were filled with awe and wonder when Jesus ascended into heaven. They watched in amazement as he was taken up into the clouds, knowing that he was returning to his Father in heaven. Despite feeling sad and confused at first, they eventually felt a sense of peace and hope, knowing that Jesus had fulfilled his mission on earth and would always be with them in spirit.
They immediately followed Him.
Jesus was asked if He was the Christ the Son of God by the High Priest at His trial. Jesus answered in the affirmative, adding that He would be seen coming in the clouds of Heaven. When John the Baptist sent his disciples to ask if Jesus was the Promised One, He referred to the prophecies from Isaiah and the miracles they had seen as demonstration of who He was.
I believe scripture says that Thomas, along with some of the other disciples, went back to fishing after Jesus' death. Thomas is most noted for his reaction to the resurrection of Christ. When Jesus first appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, Thomas was not there. Upon being told of the story, Thomas declared that he would not believe unless he could put his hand in the wounds in Jesus' hands and side. Jesus reappeared to His disciples and this time Thomas was there. Jesus told Thomas to go ahead and touch His hands and His side, and to believe. When Thomas saw Christ he bowed down to worship Him as Lord and God. What a great story. Even more, Jesus declared that those of us who believe without seeing are truly blessed.
Do you suppose they felt he had more important things to attend to? They did not see how valuable his time was with the children. I think many adults overlook children and what their spiritual needs are and how they can be shaped for their continued growth.
He reacts the same way as he does to any sin: He says -"Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 4.17). Because his law commands us to love one another. (John15.17)
When Jesus is arrested, the apostles react with fear and confusion. In the Gospels, we see Peter initially attempting to defend Jesus by cutting off the ear of the high priest's servant, but soon after, all the disciples abandon Him and flee. This response highlights their panic and lack of understanding of the events unfolding, despite Jesus' previous predictions of His arrest and crucifixion. Ultimately, their reactions underscore their humanity and the challenges they faced in grasping the significance of Jesus' mission.
They was you help Jesus wow
As Jesus was sinless , he could not fall into sin in the wilderness.
When Jesus looks at Peter after his denial, he shows a mix of understanding, forgiveness, and love.
Astonished. When Jesus returns that means that will be the end of the world. Remember your thoughts and opions may differ from his answer!!!:)
Mankind has always had hope. Jesus taught a way that man should see the world and how to react to it.
The disciples were afraid of him and did not trust him(Acts 9:26). The Jews wanted to kill him (Acts 9:23).
