King James had very little to do with the scriptures except for the fact that he gave instructions to the translators.
Other translations have been made from Greek and Latin translations and if the KJV is compared to them you will see there is not a lot of difference.
As for Satan, he is not all powerful but God is .All scripture is inspired by God and written by men as they were directed by the Holy Spirit. God would not allow Satan to corrupt His word completely one should not read but study to find translation or concept errors that most over look to know the truth.
