How bad do you have to be to be sent to hell?

If a person commits murder and is unrepentant, or if having once received a witness of the Holy Spirit and openly denies of it's existence such a person will be sent to face the torments of Satan for a period. Eventually will be judged for their crimes and will again receive their body to be joined with their spirit.

To the best of my knowledge they will then inherit the lowest part of the least of God's Kingdoms i.e Mansions. There they will suffer the pangs of their own guilt forever.

Sure, Hell is bad. It the punishment of sinners who die with no repent and without asking for God (the Creator and the All-Merciful) forgiveness.

Quran says (meaning English translation):

People believe that snakes will bite right through your stomach

and Quran says also that in the Hell skins will be burned and replaced with new skins to be burned again:

"(As for) those who disbelieve in Our communications, We shall make them enter fire (Hell); so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, We will change them for other skins, that they may taste the chastisement; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise. (56)And (as for) those who believe and do good deeds, We will make them enter gardens...(57)" [Quran, chapter 4, verses 56-57]

However, you should have faith in God (the Creator) kindness and love to you. If you commit a sin and repent with sincere will not to repeat the sin, you must be confident that God may, per his will, forgive you and you turn back pure as if you didn't commit sin.b

Speaking as one of the living... I know and understand "hell" (Hebrew; sheol) to be the "grave," the land of the dead. And in that light, I read the question as: 'Is the grave really all that bad?'

I have to say, "being dead is really not all that good."

"...for the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything... there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, IN THE GRAVE (sheol; hell), WHITHER THOU GOEST." (Eccle.9:5-10)

Death is man's greatest enemy... and the last enemy God will defeat (I Cor.15:26).

God made us to live, and between the two choices... living is best - death is the worst.

According to its use in the Bible... the word "hell" applies to three other words besides "hades": the Hebrew word "sheol," which is the Hebrew equivalent of hades [a pit or hole in the ground, or a grave when dead bodies are placed in the pit... Jesus' application of hell being an infernal region through the use of the word "Gehenna" [Gehenna fire or hell-fire]... and the word "tartaroo," which is only used in one place as a condition of restraint against demonic angels.

For the first two "hells" [hades and sheol], hell is a bad place only when a dead body occupies it. Most people regard death as a bad thing.

The "Gehenna" [hell] fire, it turns out, will be kindled when Jesus returns, will burn throughout His millennial rule on earth, and continue into and through the "Last Great Day" [Judgment Day] at the end of that thousand years, in Gehenna Valley... a trash burning region outside of Jerusalem. The Bible calls this hell the "Lake of Fire" where the wicked will be cast, thus constituting what the Bible calls the "second death" - again - death being a bad thing.

As for the fourth hell, "tartaroo"... since it restrains demons from doing their worst... it may be regarded by some as a "good thing."
