The ark (Hebrew: tevah; Greek: kibotos) was a rectangular chestlike vessel (approximately: 438 ft × 73 ft 11 in. × 44 ft.). This gave the ark about 1,400,000 cubic feet in gross volume. (Genesis 6:14-16)
