How can one be saved from sin?

All you have to do is accept the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and ask him to forgive you from your sins.

A Admit to god that you are a sinner repent and turn away from you sin

B Believe that Jesus is God's son and that God sent Jesus to save everyone

C Confess you faith in Jesus as your savior and you Lord

Then you'll live with him forever in heaven

The previous answer is not entirely correct althought the person who gave it probably meant well. It just so happens that in Acts chapter 16 : vrs 30-31 a man known as the phillipian jailer asked Paul the very same question and the answer Paul the apostle gave was almost totally different from what this previous answer was.

"Sirs, what must I do to be saved??" Paul said "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thine house" THATS ALL PAUL SAID.

The problem is that many religious hell bound sinners dont believe the Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15 :1-10 And some saved persons get led away from the simplicity that is in Christ. As Paul said to the jailer the way to get saved is simply to BELIEVE. This faith is from the HEART.

The Bible teaches that the very instant a sinner BELIEVES from his heart that Christ died for his sins and that God raised him from the dead he gets saved. Many people who say they believe in salvation by grace through FAITH DONT really believe it. Several verses that teach salvation by faith alone are John 1:12 John 3:16 1 Cor 15 :1-7 Romans 1:16, Romans 4:5, Ephes 1:13 Ephes 2:8-

By simply asking God for forgiveness, and asking him to lead your life, and promising to always try to love and obey Him. Then read the Bible as often as you can so that you can learn how to love and obey God.

For a man to be saved is not hard. The hardest part is actually how easy it is.

we are separated from God by sin (God is perfect and therefore cant stand sin) so He sent His Son Jesus Christ who lived a perfect life but was crucified on the cross so that we don't have to die. Check out Philippians 2, 5-11.

To be saved, you must pray to God along the lines of the following message: "dear God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that Jesus lived a perfect life but died on the cross for my sins, please come into my heart so that I may be born again in Jesus name. I declare that Jesus Christ is lord of my life as I ask for forgiveness for my sins, Amen."

Speak this prayer, believe this in your heart and you are saved! Go to a good church and read your bible (even test the message of the church against the verses in the bible). If you ask God to reveal Himself to you, He will!

'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved,' is the Bible's to this question. It was Jesus who made the way open through His terrible death on the Roman cross of Calvary. Believing in Him is the way we receive what He has to offer. This is why He is frequently called the Savior, because this is what He does.

Be poor, not rich.

Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. -- Matthew 19:23-24

Many obstacles come in the way of trusting Christ and being saved from sin. These include anything which stops a person from being humble enough firstly to see their need to be saved and then to trust Christ to save them. People trust in riches, as mentioned above and they also become proud and think they can save themselves. They may also become intellectually proud and think they know a better way than God. This may lead them either to lie to themselves or accept the lies of others that there is some other way than Jesus Christ to be saved.

But the Bible and Jesus Himself is quite clear: "I am the way and the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except by me." John 14:6.

Follow Jesus' commandments.

If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

And of course, the point of this is that if we realize the true meaning of the commandments then we realize that we cannot keep them. This brings us back then to Jesus Himself as the source of salvation from sin. 'For by grace are you saved through faith and not because of works lest any man should boast.' Ephesians 2:8.

Two things.
First, repent of your previous life. This is simply saying 'sorry' to God and promising that you will do your best to lead a more Godly life in future. Of course, we are human, and so we will often fail, but God promises forgiveness each time we go astray.
Second, accept Jesus Christ as Lord into your life. Pray and ask Jesus Christ, through His Spirit, to come into our lives and to rule the way we do and say things.
This is known as being 'born again' and is required of us if we are to seriously follow Christ.
Once you have made this commitment, you might decide that you wish to get baptised and belong to a church. If so, then I strongly suggest that you find a loving, Christian church that will nurture you in your new faith.
One must first look to the Bible to see what it says on the matter. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; John 17:17)
We must learn about Jesus & Jehovah and apply this knowledge in our lives, living by and faithfully being obedient to them. In other words one must learn God's will and then do it. (John 17:3; Matthew 7:21)
Jehovah gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ as a ransom for us, and Jesus himself willingly volunteered to become that ransom. Since it is through Jesus alone that Jehovah gives salvation, we must have a living faith in him; a faith that moves us to obey. (John 3:16; Hebrews 5:9; James 2:14-26)
And we must continue to do so throughout our lives, or until the end of this system of things, or our names will be blotted out from the book of life; we will not be saved. (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; Revelation 3:5)

Jesus is the way because he died as a sacrifice for sin

The Bible says everybody is born spiritually dead. Another way of saying this is people don't have a relationship with/know God. This is because the first man and woman did not obey God and so their relationship with God - the creator and sustainer of life - was broken. This is sin. Throughout the history of mankind - as told in the Bible - the way for a person to restore their relationship with God is to acknowledge their relationship with God is broken and to offer a sacrifice.

In the early history of mankind this is what people did. God chose the nation of Israel to be His representatives on earth. Israel was supposed to show the other nations what a relationship with God is like. But Israel turned from God and His ways and followed other gods.

So God came to earth as a man - Jesus - and died as the 'lamb of God', a sacrifice for the sin of all who believe. If a person believes this, the Bible says God forgives the person and that person gives them eternal life.

1John 5:11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

1Johnn 5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

This eternal life is a free gift. To receive it you only have to believe Jesus is the saviour of the world.
